A lot of people let negative energy get to them, but not Bey. “When I’m not feeling my best I ask myself, ‘What are you gonna do about it?’ I use the negativity to fuel the transformation into a better me,” . Beyoncé revealed that after going through a period of depression when Destiny’s Child broke up, now she only gives herself one day to feel sorry for herself when she’s down; then she moves on.
KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF “ME” TIME.
Beyoncé sat down with Elle before her Ivy Park activewear launch to talk about how women need to take care of themselves without feeling selfish. “Women have to take the time to focus on our mental health—take time for self, for the spiritual, without feeling guilty or selfish,” . “The world will see you the way you see you, and treat you the way you treat yourself.” It’s all about treating yourself the way you want to be treated, she says.
Beauty comes from within.
Even though she grew up around her mother’s hair salon, Beyoncé knows that inner beauty matters most. that this is one of the top lessons that she wants to teach her daughter. “My biggest thing is to teach [Blue] not to focus on the aesthetic,” she said. “It’s really about who you are, and the human being, that makes you beautiful.”
SELF-RELIANCE IS KEY.
While pregnant with Blue, Beyoncé to chat about the baby news. She said then that she’s realized that no one else’s opinions matter when it comes to what she does in life. “I have learned that it is no one else’s job to take care of me but me,” she said. It’s all about making her own rules as she goes, without input from anyone else.
Failure is part of life.
In a YouTube video the star released titled , she explains how she and her all-girl singing group lost on Star Search when she was still a kid, but she never imagined that it was a possibility not to win. Says Beyoncé, “The reality is sometimes you lose. And you’re never too good to lose. You’re never too big to lose. You’re never too smart to lose. It happens.” No matter what you do, know that failure is a possibility, but let that push you harder to succeed.
DON’T GIVE IN TO THE EXPECTATIONS OF OTHERS.
Over the years, the star has been able to start doing things on her terms, which she finds to be totally satisfying. “Over time, I have learned to focus on the things I want to focus on in the time frame that I set,” . “I no longer have to work based on someone else’s expectations or pressure. I put enough pressure on myself!
