Having a Moment: Blue-Grey Kitchen Cabinets

Updated 11/14/14
In the ‘90s, country white kitchen cabinets prevailed. In the ‘80s, it was all about melamine. And in the ‘70s — oh, let’s not forget the ‘70s — the deep, dark, and woody ruled the day. We like to think the trends of today will be a little more permanent, but there’s no telling. What we do know is that blue-grey kitchen cabinets are having a major moment right now, and we are loving it.   From pale grays with a hint of purple to deep blues with charcoal undertones, blue and grey always looks gorgeous together, in any combination. To complement the colour, we recommend copper or brass hardware, classic white subway tiles, butcher block countertops, porcelain sinks, and marble accents.
