If you were to imagine the ultimate summer home, we're pretty sure this would be it. Located in the heart of Malveira da Serra, Portugal in the base of Sintra’s hillside, architect Pedro Quintela converted old ruins into this spectacular condo. From what villagers referred to as a "pile of rocks", Quintela breathed new life into the modern condo while still maintaining the original features, including the original stone walls and wooden ceilings. The home took five years to create but the result is a beautiful open, bright, and cozy space. Scroll down to see more of this home via photos by .
