is an L.A.-based event production company founded by event experts and co-founders Angela Margolis and Erin Sprinkel in 2010. Together, they craft the design and logistics of events that range from high-profile entertainment and lifestyle productions to luxury wedding and social celebrations. Here they give us a peek at their chic, minimalistic office space.
The Sterling Social office is located in the charming Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood Village. We immediately fell in love with the area, which is surrounded by various restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and fitness studios. After getting the keys, we had to start completely from scratch. Having a clean slate to work with was incredibly exciting, and we immediately started dreaming up the ideal color palette and design for our new space. The goal was to have it reflect both our personal tastes and our approach to event design. Keep scrolling for a tour of our newly renovated office.
The largest office is where we spend most of our time. Our white lacquer desks face the center of the room with decorative shelving behind us. It’s also our most conversational space because it has a spacious lounge vignette. It’s the perfect setting for client meetings or internal brainstorm sessions.
Our goal was to give a residential vibe to an otherwise “basic” space. When people come into our office, we want them to instantly get a sense of our style. We are endlessly inspired by fashion, art, and travel when creating décor concepts. We spend so much of our time here that we thought it might as well feel like home!
An absolute must for us to include in the space was a bar cart. It’s the perfect icebreaker when people come to visit, and we can offer a variety of bubbles and cocktails.
We’re most proud of our 30-foot gallery wall that runs the length of our entry hallway. It displays our favorite event images in white lacquer frames. Not only does it add pops of color to our neutral space, but we love reflecting on the incredible event experiences we’ve been a part of. Clients love exploring the wall and asking about details as well!
So many initial client meetings take place at our office that we wanted the first impression to match our personalities. It was such a fun, creative outlet to design a space for ourselves, as we are normally used to doing for clients.
We wanted this space to feel like a living room and chose details such as floor-to-ceiling drapes on chrome rods, a brass hanging pendant, and a midcentury “Birds in Flight” metal sculpture by C. Jeré to add some unique finishings.
Our first purchase was a neutral herringbone cowhide rug off One Kings Lane. We fell in love with it immediately and knew the tones and textures would ground our space. We are so lucky to work with some of the best creatives in the event industry, and right away, we joined forces with our talented friends at to start designing furnishings. First, we focused on a lounge vignette that would be a design focal point of the office. They custom-designed an upholstered silver couch with silver nailhead detailing on the outer arms, a matching ottoman in a geometric fabric pattern, two Chanel-inspired bouclé armchairs, and metallic poufs. The combination of fabrics and shades of gray, ivory, and muted metallics is incredible!
We added a chrome-and-glass coffee table, a textured chrome garden stool, and a marble-and-brass side table to complete the look. The pieces are eclectic and unique in their own way, but they come together perfectly.
Our tastes and style choices are always evolving, so we love adding new décor details or tweaking the layout of furnishings. It’s always fun to play with new creative ideas, and this space is the best outlet for our imaginations to run wild!
We absolutely love the chrome-and–white lacquer display shelving behind our desks. We call it our back bar! It’s a big statement piece when you walk into our office, and it added some height to the room. R. Jack Balthazar helped us hand pick various collectibles, such as fashion books, geodes, coral, and lacquer boxes.
