One of the most enticing things about planning a trip to Greece is that every island has its own distinct personality—and with there's an abundance to choose from. While many are separated by a short boat ride, they can feel worlds apart, and each attracts a different type of traveler. Santorini is a mecca for couples in search of a romantic escape, Ios is a young 20-something's dream, and Mykonos is the glitzy jewel of Greece: a heady mix of glitzy boutiques, fine dining options, and the biggest club scene in the country.

So it's no surprise that Mykonos is known as the fashion set's Greek island of choice. "Since there's a real nightlife in Mykonos, people take style very seriously," says French photographer and street style pioneer "It's a thing that's disappearing at an alarming rate, which makes me sad, because I really love it—spending the day at the beach, going back to take a shower, getting dressed up to go out for the evening, and then staying out all night until early morning," she writes on her site.

Thankfully this is a way of life in Mykonos, so you'd better be ready for it.

Considering a trip to Greece's famous party island? Add these spots to your itinerary and you'll live your best life in Mykonos.
